Katarína Ďuricová (SK)
Škola Svetelného Dizajnu (School of Light Design):
Wednesday – Thursday, 5. -6. 2. 2020
Technical documentation of theatre performances is a crucial document, not only for the creators themselves, to whom it aids with adapting performances to different settings but mainly for dramaturgists and festival organizers in the choice of production and placing the performance into the right setting.
How to create such a document, what information should it include and what information is superfluous? How can we work with this document and how can it help us?
We will make use of the possibility to work with the creators of a new production, song Lines: expecide 97/18, Tomáš Janypka and Sabina Bočková, for this workshop. We will work with the above-mentioned performance as a real example.
Katarína Ďuricová works as a manager of various local, as well as international projects, related to modern art and independent culture. She previously worked for the cultural center Stanica Žilina – Záriečie. Thanks to this experience, she discovered the magic of light and lighting design. Since then, she has been working with Czech and Slovak contemporary dance groups, with which she created more than a hundred performance reruns in Europe and beyond.
Besides working on new lighting solutions and on touring management, she has been the technical director of ‘TANEC PRAHA’ Festival since 2014 and is working together with other festivals such as ‘Cikropolis’ and ‘4+4 dny v pohybu.’
